The Buckshots (Belgium) Sat 21h30
www.myspace.com/thebuckshotsgierle
If you like a good rockin' country sound you wanna check out this band whenever you get the chance. With songs by country artists like George Jones, Buck Owens, Johnny Paycheck, Del Reeves and some original stuff ...... they bring a powerfull blend of country and Hillbilly music. The close harmony vocals from Flip, Tom and Els gives the music that extra 'zzingg' . The adding of a pedal steel guitar, played by Frans Anthonis, gives everything a bit of a Bakersfield sound. Of course they're backed-up by a solid beat provided by Tom and Joris on bass and drums. 'nough said, the best way to find out what it's all about is to get out of your lazy chair and go see one of their shows!!! |

Formed in 2003 as a trio the Barndance Gang is spreading the Gospel of Traditional Mountain Music in Germany and ubroad. The Gang does it by living the music, they capture the look, sound and feel of the 30's 40's and 50's.
In 2009 the fiddle was added to the line up to improve the sound even more and together with the upright bass, mandoline, guitar and accordion they play that unique mix of Country and Western that sets every barn on fire.
The Gang performed not only at honky tonks all over Germany, but also at big Car Shows like the "Hot Heads East" in Finsterwalde. They've also played at the "Tear it up" Rockabilly Festival in Croatia.

Jessie & The Orbits (United Kingdom) Sun 15h30
www.myspace.com/jessieandtheorbits2008
Jessie & The Orbits exploded on to the rockabilly scene at the tail end of 2008 and were subsequently booked up for every decent weekender and rockin' club going. Their addictive sound is neither pure rockabilly nor pure R&B - it's a heady mix of both, with Jessie's astounding vocals far exceeding her tender years. Backed up by two of the most talented musicians on the scene, Gautier Golab (lead guitar) and Tony Hillebrandt (drums), this is a band you won't want to miss. |
